Introduction: Comfort constitutes a primary domain in nursing intervention, especially in palliative care, being a fundamental need of the human experience that must be considered in different contexts and linked to the person's own perspective. Objective: To identify the perception of comfort from the perspective of the person in a palliative situation. Material and Methods: A rapid literature review was carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the Cochrane Rapid Reviews Methods Group. The research was conducted in the Medline Complete database, covering the period from 2018 to 2023 and including studies in English. Studies were selected that address the concept of comfort in adults in the context of palliative care. Results: Five studies were included that explored comfort in different contexts: a) Physical – symptomatic relief and independence; b) Psychospiritual – positive thinking, hope, relationship with a higher being and completion of end-of-life tasks; c) Sociocultural – presence and support of significant others, relationship with health professionals and access to adequate palliative care; d) Environmental – place of care and death, and physical conditions of the environment; e) Others – access to end-of-life care, quality of life and autonomy. Conclusions: Promoting comfort in palliative care should be a priority, requiring a multidimensional approach that ensures the full satisfaction of the person's needs.
