Abstract

Introduction: Undergraduate nursing students in clinical practice need to apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout their academic journey. Exposure to new situations can trigger stress, influencing the learning process, performance, and skill acquisition. Objective: To map scientific evidence and synthesize knowledge regarding the stress factors of nursing students in clinical practice. Materials and Methods: A scoping review will be conducted using the JBI® method. The research will be developed in the EBSCOHost content aggregator, in the following databases: CINAHL Complete, MEDLINE Complete, MedicLatina, ERIC, Scopus, and Web of Science, and in the repositories: Scientific Repository of Open Access of Portugal, European Portal of Electronic Theses and Dissertations, and Open Access Theses and Dissertations. Documents in English, Portuguese, and Spanish based on the mnemonic "PCC" (Population, Concept, and Context) and the inclusion criteria will be included. Data extraction and synthesis will be carried out by two independent reviewers, with disagreements resolved by a third reviewer. Results: A flow diagram will be constructed to present the selection of articles, as well as tables for data extraction and synthesis of knowledge regarding the stress factors of nursing students. Conclusion: We hope that the results of this study will contribute to knowledge and practice in nursing. This review may support new research studies, although the language restriction may be a limitation of this study.
